The front prototyping

The back prototyping
Prototyping & test
The starting prototype: 3D print side and front support
The 2nd prototype: Separated the back support and front support
The 3rd prototype: the final result

We chose to keep the turn around point for straps in high place.
We will proceed with Idea Two, focusing specifically on the design of back support and replaced the front and side material to sports wear material.

Evaluation: Due to the limitation of 3D printing, we decided to separate the back support and front support, and connect them by straps. The straps can be remove or change it place to become strap less bra, or a structure that similar to hunchback corrector
Evaluation (back):
The tilted strap design is not functional unless a greater force directed towards the front is applied.
The weight that can be supported is around 500g at this moment(2 bean bags each about 250g).
Despite the weight support, challenges are outlined. The shape is deemed suboptimal, and there's a noted issue where the back support cannot stay centered due to a misfit with the concave part of the back.
Evaluation (front):
In higher place, because of used flexible foam sheet for this prototype (which is not flexible enough), it caused the middle bended out.
In middle place, the foam sheet did not came out, but a strong discomfort was forced on the breast and the breast shape became very thin.

Final Design
Test & Improvement

Plastic antiskid strap can be lock onto the 3D print part, keep the bra tight to body and work with the upper strap to prevent the 3D print part to swing.
The straps needed to go over shoulders are about 10cm longer than that needed to cross the body under arms, so we decided to put hook side of magic tape at the end of straps, and cover the 10 cm more by the wool side of magic tape, so user can adjust the tightness more freely, especially after the time that normal bras loss tightness after many time of wash.

We chose to keep the turn around point for straps in high place, and replaced the side material to sports wear material. This design was founed work well when straps on shoulder, but not always at the right height as we expected. Sometimes when pulling the straps, the support may go down to lower back.
1st way of wear
2nd way of wear

soft material coat the hard material
filleted edges
The edges of 3D print support are too sharp, which may need fillet or better cover by soft material using the technology of printing two materials at the same time when 3D print.
